Hello Wembly Families
 
We are starting early this year with a few fundraisers to help our swim team continue to grow this year.  Our 1st Fundraiser will be with Papa John's.  It starts March1st until March 7th .  Wembly Swim Team will receive $2.00 for every on-line order to Papa John's.  Anytime during that week when you enter our promo code (WEMBLY) Papa John's will contribute $2.00 towards our swim team.  Please tell your friends, family and co-workers so they can use our promo code (Wembly) and order Papa John's pizzas online from March 1st to March 7th. 
 
Now that the Holidays are over it is time to start thinking about this summer. In the past, NOVA has offered Sunday clinics to area teams and swimmers who would like to get a jump start on the upcoming season, and this year will be no different. Starting Sunday February 28 and running for ten Sundays until May 16th, NOVA will provide specialized stroke technique, start and turn instruction, and racing tactics for all swimmers from ages from 6-18. These clinics are designed for your swimmers who already know how to swim but need some extra attention before the season starts. 
NOVA wants to provide your team with the tools needed to get your swimmers ready for the summer. If there are any specific skills desired throughout the ten Sundays, we want to open up a dialogue with you. If turns are an area where your team needs improvement, let us know. If you want your 9-10 year olds to get ready for the big switch from 25s to 50s, give us a heads up. All of the coaches that will be working these clinics are either current or former summer league coaches that have been trained and employed by NOVA. We want to stress curriculum flexibility with the 2010 clinics.

  The deadline to get all information to NOVA is February 15th.   

Schedule:

Sunday Feb 28th / March 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28th / April 18th & 25th (4/4 & 4/11 OFF) / May 2nd, 9th, & 16th


Clinics run from 2:00 - 6:00 pm.  - Nova will determine the time Wembly will swim. - Once the time is determined I will let everyone know. 

Cost:

         $100.00 per swimmer, checks payable to NOVA of Virginia Aquatics

           *** We are now offering a multiple swimmer Family Discount***

         Each additional (after one) swimmer will receive a $10.00 discount

Person in charge of spirit ware
Person in charge of Family Fun day in July
Continue to look for other positions you can be part of thought out the winter.

2009 -Swim team service projects 

We made a 380.00 donation to the Wounded Warrior Project

Susan G Komen for the cure....Wembly Swim Team raised over 2,200.00 for the Cure!! Great job Waves

The purpose of the Wembly Swim Team is to foster fun, fitness and competition. Team participation also promotes unity sportsmanship, self-esteem, self –improvement and social interaction among a wide variety of age groups. Inherent in the team atmosphere is the striving for personal excellence in the spirit of goodwill and fair play.
Every child has a chance to contribute, whether he is a beginner or an accomplished swimmer
