Welcome to Wembly Tennis. We offer four hard courts and a tennis backboard. For over 30 years Wembly has been helping young children , adults , and their families discover the fun of tennis. Bantam(age 12 and under) and Intermediate(age 13 to 16) match play will begin the week of September 13th. This league is NOT for beginners. Must be able to hit forehands, backhands and serves consistently and know how to keep score . Practice/drilling sessions will resume on Thursdays from 6 to 7 beginning on September 9th and continuing throughout the fall. Practice match play sessions are on Sundays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. ummer 2010 Wembly Adult League Women's Only 40 and over Kid's Camps with Monty The last camp of the summer is August 16th to August 19th(Monday through Thursday) -The cost per child for the 4 day camp is $35/week or $10 per practice session(you only pay for the nights your child can attend if he/she cannot attend every night) -Boys and girls age 8 and under will practice from 5 to 6 p.m. -Boys and girls ages 9 to 11 will practice from 6 to 7 p.m. -Boys and girls ages 12 and up will practice from 7 to 8 p.m. -Boys and girls age 12 and up will practice from 7 to 8 p.m. * New * Damian Sancilio's Junior Tennis Academy (Courtside West )
A single membership is $75.00 and a family membership is $100.00 annually

Wembly's tennis instructor is Monty Stafford.
Monty has taught tennis for 20 years including the last 10 at Wembly. Monty played tennis at Godwin High School and then at Virginia Tech. Monty’s philosophy is simple, “Have fun and work hard to hone your skills and improve your overall tennis game”.
Summer has almost arrived and there is no better way to spend time than on the tennis court. With the gradual warming and longer days take advantage of all the tennis Wembly has to offer for both junior and adults. Monty is available to teach at 5:00 p.m. or later Monday through Friday and anytime on most weekends as Monty has a full time job. Monty's rates are $28/hr for a private lesson, $30/hr for a semi-private lesson(two people) and $10/hr for a group lesson(three or more people).

Fall Wembly Adult League
Wembly is now officially a member of the Richmond Suburban Ladies Tennis League, C Division . Our division plays in the Fall (Sept.-Oct.) and the Spring (April-May) on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. until we finish, usually around noonish. It's competitive but fun and we play other clubs in the area. and if anyone is interested, please contact Cherly at celipscomb@aol.com

we want to remind you of Wembly's Lightning/Thunder Policy : First sign of Lightning or Thunder, you have to clear the premises of Wembly's Property including the upper deck, tennis courts, and no sitting on the hill by the volleyball net. Please go to your car or leave the premises. You will need to wait 30 mins. After the last sound of thunder or lightning before entering the pool. You will be notified when it is safe to return in the case of a swim meet or tennis match. We want to keep our members and their guests safe.
